Rod of the Fist

Rod of the Fist
A Rod of the Fist is a 24 inches long metal rod weighting about 18 onzes and with a hand clenched into a fist at one end. In principle, the Rod of the Fist is a Metal Rod with the spell Mage Hand spell. It can be used three times per day for up to 5 turns each time, up to a range of 50ft. Basically the rod’s hand opens and grabs one unattended object weighing up to 5 lbs can be pick up and manipulated by the Rod of the Fist. Manipulating the object for combat or for skill use is done as – 4.
In difference to the Mage Hand spell, the rod can grab unto an object and turn the object into part of his rod becoming a full weapon. If a stone is grabbed, the rod turns into a light mace, a chain turns into a chain weapon, etc. An object magical properties are transfer to the rod. So, if a grabbed dagger is a + 1 dagger it creates a light mace + 1.
The weapon can turn into a third hand that can attack and act with the object on hand. It gives an extra attack with the rod (at – 4) with the object. It can be used to deliver a potion to the user with using only a free action for the user (the command word). Also, it can manipulate magic items as long as the items don’t give bonuses to the rod, like a wand or potion. If the rod has no object in hand it closes into a fist that does 1d4 of damage.
