D&D 3.0: Tales from Mystara
Maona Kea is a typical Makai fishing village located Ierendi Island. You can arrive to this villages via road or boat from Ierendi City. Maona Kea has been mother to many Makai warriors and was one of the most important places during the revolution that liberated Ierendi.
Maona Kea is home to one of the proudest of Peoples Temple; this largely non-Makai human and Hin community possesses a sword in its temple said to have once belonged to Sinbad. Many failed attempts to steal the Sword of Sinbad have taken place over the years, but it always ends up here. It is not clear if this is a true relic of Sinbad, but the blade is known to grow stronger when used on a boat or at sea and can radiate cold and acid at its user’s command. The priests are VERY paranoid about theft. Especially since the time fifty years ago when the People’s Temple replaced it with a wooden replica and somehow no one noticed until it broke during a worship ceremony. (Leading to many People’s Temple priests being killed by thugs hired by the temple.)
