Gas of Whispering Walls
GAS OF WHISPERING WALLS
This very rare arcane composition, eagerly sought after by sages and adventurers, has the bizarre, arcane ability to grant speech and memory to walls of all kinds. Though its original purpose is lost in the annals of time, it is now used to learn the secrets of the past, by sages in search of knowledge and adventurers in search of treasure.
Activation of the Gas of Whispering Walls is a simple matter of uncorking the flask within five feet of any wall. The bluish, glowing gas will flow slowly from the bottle and seep into the nearest wall. If no wall stands within five feet, the gas slips back into the flask and can be used later. Once the wall absorbs the gas, the wall will answer 3d6 yes or no questions about anything that has happened near it. Think of the wall as an observer with all the perceptions of a person. It can answer questions relating to what is has seen, smelled, tasted, touched, or heard. Creation: Making the Gas of the Whispering Walls requires a small fragment from a shattered stone golem, a well equipped laboratory, a very rare grimiore known as the Golemar Alchemus, and a successful alchemy check (DC 27).
